Mobile Ad Spend to Hit $1 Billion, Media & Search Ads Expanding [Report]

The increased presence of these high-tech tools, as well as decreasing costs, has pushed smartphone ownership toward becoming the “norm.” eMarketer predicts that smartphone ownership will reach 38 percent in the U.S. by the end of this year.

The increase in smartphone ownership coincides with a significant increase in mobile ad spending, which should reach $1.23 billion for U.S. advertisers by the end of the year, up 66 percent from last year’s $743 million figure. eMarketer predicts that the figure will continue to see escalating growth, reaching $4.4 billion by 2015.

Total investment isn’t the only big change, though. Advertisers are focusing less on message-based ads (ads sent via text message, usually after the mobile user sends a subscription message via short code) and more on visual and search ads. While message-based ads are currently in the lead with 36.1 percent of spend, eMarkter predicts that will have changed by the end of 2012.

Google+, Facebook – Video and the CU 3000?

WiFi Enabled and Fully PortableWith Google and Facebook and a host of others venturing into video conferencing and employing their wares into their social media platforms; we now have many tools at our disposal to stay in touch with one another.

The GLOBALINX®  CU 3000 is one product on the market that has great possibilities for those with hearing “disabilities”.  This device enables them to interact with each other on a regular basis and distance is no longer an issue.   Imagine someone who is unable to hear the phone ringing , but able to see  the strobe light on the CU 3000 flashing; which indicates a call is coming through, being able to answer the phone.  They can now answer the call and begin having a conversation using sign language (provided the other person is able to sign) just as if the person were right there in the same room with them.  With the GLOBALINX® CU 3000′s ability to invert the cameras view, you now are able to show the caller all of the treasures you possess and want to share with them.  One of the many things you will like about this device is it’s portability, which for a home phone is phenomenal.  You can take this device anywhere in the world that has broadband access and the registered phone number will follow you; thus enabling you to make video or voice calls, as if you were still at home.   It’s also a great tool for anyone traveling on business that wishes to connect to a whiteboard, TV or a Camcorder for video conferencing with up to 2 additional participants.  GLOBALINX®  has also implemented the GSP 10; a softphone application that is downloaded to your computer, which enables you to make calls to mobile and landline phones, as well as connect with the GLOBALINX®  CU 3000 in High Definition (HD).

There is really some great stuff on the market today that is bringing people together and making their lives more palatable, especially in these days and times with the high cost of gas and travel.  Green Technology has arrived and we just need to take advantage of it.

We Were Being Groomed

July 1, 2011 27 comments

In the news we find that this company is about to let so many workers go and that company isn’t hiring because they aren’t sure what the state of the economy is going to be.  Where does all this leave the American public who are looking for a job, looking for that security the job once held?

Times, They are a Changing

Our experiences is what truly define us as who we are.  We are the sum total of all our experiences, whether they be good, bad or indifferent, we are them and they are us.  So now that only leads me to how I got to where I am, an entrepreneur in the Network Marketing game. I remember as a young child the “Tupperware” parties that were given. These round, rectangular and square devices to store food in, and how the revolutionized the whole idea of “left-overs”.  We often looked in disdain at the neighbor who wanted us to look at their “Amway” products, the soap, dish detergent and such.  Network Marketing was and probably still a part of the local school practices.  You see I brought home that sheet to my family in the hopes of getting the most money so I can win the top prize, too.  We would often have our parents take it to their job and hopefully their friends would help a youngster out.  We took that sheet everywhere we went in an effort to get sales.  What was lacking in that sales model was training, and proper training at that.  Everything was just assumed that by just giving that child that sheet for “Cookie”, “KatyDids” and who knows what, that child would actually know what to do.  Some saw they potential in what they held and moved it to the next level, while others found an uncomfortable situation arising from and could never honestly take a look at “Direct Sales” as a vehicle for them and their families.

“Professor Paul Zane Pilzer has kept a watchful eye on the direct selling industry for more than 30 years. In the 1990s, the renowned economist who served in two White House administrations predicted that network marketers would help make the then-emerging $200-billion health and wellness channel the next trillion-dollar industry. The success of companies such as Herbalife, Medifast, Monavie, Amway, Nu Skin, USANA and Blyth are helping to confirm Pilzer’s theory” – A Special Supplement to The Wall Street Journal by Direct Selling News

In 2010, direct selling companies generated over $125 billion in revenue in 150 countries through more than 75 million men and women who are changing lives serving others.“  ‘Serving the many, helping them get what they want, can lead to greatness’, someone once said and I believe him.  For we are really here to serve and we do each other a dis-service when we deny that we are our brothers keepers.  If the economies of scale dictate that we need to have a global reach in order to compete then our world has not shrank, but enlarged and we need to consider more ways and means to tap into that potential market.  When that company is talking about moving jobs overseas, bettering the living conditions of people overseas at the expense of the people of the country in which they live, then it’s the people’s opportunity to tap into that wealth of knowledge gained from our early years and reinvent ourselves.  Direct Selling, using network marketing as the vehicle.

The real challenge is to replace lost jobs with new earnings opportunities and provide much-needed training.   The jobs that baby boomers and Gen Xers trained for years ago have disappeared. Technology has replaced millions of workers and demanded new skills that too many older Americans just don’t have.
“Instead of focusing on new methods of training, our politicians and news media are looking at  unemployment and the economic recovery as linked—and they are not because most of the unemployed people today are skills-deficient. If they are over 50 years old, they probably don’t touch-type or e-mail, and that doesn’t work in today’s economy.”  So what happens to those displaced workers? Direct selling may have
the answer. – op.cit.  pg. 8

I am sure that by more Americans using the Direct Selling model;  thereby honing those skills we learned in our youth,  to tap into the growing markets here and abroad, can we create wealth and opportunities:

  • 1. United States—$28.3 billion
  • 2. Japan—$22.4 billion
  • 3. Brazil—$13.5 billion
  • 4. China—$10.9 billion

“In 2009, black households spent an estimated $507 billion in 27 product and services categories. That’s an increase of 16.6% over the $435 billion spent in 2008. African-Americans’ total earned income for 2009 is estimated at $836 billion.” – http://www.targetmarketnews.com/storyid11011001.htm

Next on the horizon, Africans in the Diaspora!
