Staying Connected

Google+, Facebook – Video and the CU 3000?

WiFi Enabled and Fully PortableWith Google and Facebook and a host of others venturing into video conferencing and employing their wares into their social media platforms; we now have many tools at our disposal to stay in touch with one another.

The GLOBALINX®  CU 3000 is one product on the market that has great possibilities for those with hearing “disabilities”.  This device enables them to interact with each other on a regular basis and distance is no longer an issue.   Imagine someone who is unable to hear the phone ringing , but able to see  the strobe light on the CU 3000 flashing; which indicates a call is coming through, being able to answer the phone.  They can now answer the call and begin having a conversation using sign language (provided the other person is able to sign) just as if the person were right there in the same room with them.  With the GLOBALINX® CU 3000’s ability to invert the cameras view, you now are able to show the caller all of the treasures you possess and want to share with them.  One of the many things you will like about this device is it’s portability, which for a home phone is phenomenal.  You can take this device anywhere in the world that has broadband access and the registered phone number will follow you; thus enabling you to make video or voice calls, as if you were still at home.   It’s also a great tool for anyone traveling on business that wishes to connect to a whiteboard, TV or a Camcorder for video conferencing with up to 2 additional participants.  GLOBALINX®  has also implemented the GSP 10; a softphone application that is downloaded to your computer, which enables you to make calls to mobile and landline phones, as well as connect with the GLOBALINX®  CU 3000 in High Definition (HD).

There is really some great stuff on the market today that is bringing people together and making their lives more palatable, especially in these days and times with the high cost of gas and travel.  Green Technology has arrived and we just need to take advantage of it.

It is wonderful that so many new products are coming out that assist those with differing abilities. Video is a great way for the hearing impaired to connect with others. Thanks for the great review.

The CU 3000 seems like a very cool new piece of technology. ….Thanks for keeping me up on my tech.

    Hi Charles,

There’s no doubt that video conferencing is making a strong push in the marketing field. Just recently, two companies have approached me to market their video conferencing products.

I can see the writing on the wall — video marketing is here to stay.

I think the technology you’ve discussed in your post is so amazing and an important tool for the hearing impaired. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

      Hello Dr., Clarke,
You hit it right on the head, it’s hear to stay. There really isn’t getting around it. When you look at price point and the eventual UCC compliance that will eliminate video calls only within a “Network”. Video will soon be able to reach anyone regardless of carrier. Presently, all of the calls on a carriers line are for the customer who is using the service and service provider. That will soon be a thing of the past.

      To your success,

      Charles

    Hi Charles,
Video phones are really filling a need in the deaf community and I can see why. Using sign language allows the deaf community to keep in touch with family. I saw the Celebrity Apprentice episode where a deaf mother was able to connect via sign language with her daughter using a video phone. It’s something that I think will grow pretty fast in the near future and I think the GPS 10 has some wonderful benefits when downloaded to a computer. Thanks for the great tips my friend!

      Hello Rick,
When I first saw the device, that was exactly what I was thinking about – The Deaf! The industry is growing at an alarming rate. The CU 3000 and the GSP 10 are VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) devices and unlike peer to peer, they are point to point and so much more secure. Security is always going to be an issue and having peace of mind is what I like about the product. It fills a need and resolves an issue.

      To your success,

      Charles

    Hey Charles,

That’s really cool…. Love technology.. I remember years ago talking about video conferencing from a handheld device and how much it sounded like science fiction, yet here we are…..

    Great Stuff,
    James

    • July 27, 2011 at 5:17 pm

      Hey James,
Can you say Star Trek! LOL Beam me up Scotty! How about “Di-Corder”. Yes, James, that stuff is actually here. The CU 3000 can transmit data to Health Care Professionals just like the smaller components (i.e. iPhone). It’s going places and we just need to be in step with the changing times.

      To your success,

      Charles

Thanks Charles for this up to date blog about new products, This is amazing! Its getting so portable now to do video that used to take several people and lots of equipment to do the same things!

    • August 1, 2011 at 5:28 pm

      Leslie,
I was feeling kind of lost out of the mix with all of the information about Google+ and Facebook are now doing video. LOL

Our product has many uses as so do many of the other products out there have. It’s up to us to get our information in the hands of the public that aren’t aware of who, what and why choosing a Globalnx phone is such a wise choice. For a home phone it has great functionality.

    Hey Charles,

Thanks for sharing the CU3000, I hadn’t come across that before. But I love how video can be so beneficial to so many.

      Hello Beth,
The CU 3000’s ability to travel all over the world gives it a unique feature. As a global player in the world of telecom, Globalinx is positioning itself to bring the VoIP service where many were not able to get our unique brand of telephony in the past.

      To your success,

      Charles

    Hi Charles,
Thanks for the great post about all of the new technologies and how they are making it possible to bring the world closer. Some of the schools are now providing computers for the students instead of text books. This is happening for the first time this year in some of our local schools. This will be interesting to learn how it works out!
Thanks again for the education on what’s now available!

      Hello Linda,
Yes, computers in the classroom for the children is catching on and one of the great things about it is that we are creating a “Directory” of professionals from all areas of expertise to “adopt” classrooms and just mentor our young people. Our company has some great programs in place and our local schools, daycare centers, and community activities can benefit from the tutelage professionals from all walks of life can offer.

      To your success,

      Charles

    Charles,
I have never heard of CU3000. Thanks for sharing about this new technology. I know video marketing is the wave, and it will continue on into the future. As a matter of fact I am getting ready to start my video webinars, soon.

Hey Charles ~ This newer technology is great. I remember when I was just a kid in Denver we had a presentation about the future of telephones and one of the things they presented at that time was the video-phone. It was exciting then just to imagine the possibilities. It’s even more exciting to realize the realities of it all.

I have had hearing impared clients over the years that were forced to use the relay services and TTY’s. Now with video phones they will have a much easier time communicating with the rest of the world. Thanks for sharing this new technology. It has the promise to open up many doors for many many people.

    • August 9, 2011 at 10:23 pm

      Hello Jim,
Thanks for the comment. Our world is opening up and although the technology has been around close to 50 years, yet only recently been on the market for the masses, where it is going is truly going to be fascinating to watch. The hearing impaired can benefit from the video phone greatly as well as people unable to travel back and forth because of distance and cost. It’s “Green” technology at it’s best.

      To your success,

      Charles

Fun stuff Charles, looks like something you’re having a blast with and that’s whats important. Don’t you just love how fast technology grows shifts and expands and brings cutting edge tech to our desktops in only a few years and then replaced by something even more shiny and cool a few years later? Cant wait to see what comes next!

  12. August 18, 2011 at 7:58 pm

    HI Charles,

This product seems to do just about everything you would ever want from a video phone.

Does it wash dishes too! There are so many amazing pieces of technology now, that life should be easier for all of us! Wonder why I seem so busy…

  14. September 9, 2011 at 11:06 pm

Hey Charles, the technology just keeps rolling. Anybody who doesn’t keep pace with it one a regular basis, just gets irrelevant real fast.

Thanks for keep us up on the latest video tech developments.

It’s so nice to know that there are lots of new and latest technology available in this industry these days. In my business, it’s very important to stay connected to my customers, clients and employers since they’re from different countries. So I used social media tools to communicate with them like skype, googlechat and so much more. And hey, this new one that you mentioned seems like a very good thing to use so I will give this a try for my business.. thanks for sharing by the way!

Hi Charles, This sounds like a great technology, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I have a few deaf friends that I’ll mention this to. They’re not mlm’ers but still this is a great way to be able to communicate. I enjoy your blog and look forward to future posts from you.
