Are All Web Searches Equal?

When I used “Press This” (a tool supplied by WordPress) to begin writing about this site http://www.undergroundfinancial.com the following came up – Seayson Enterprise – Newark, NJ. Both lead you to the same web site, yet they are for two totally different companies.

The name of my company is Seayson Enterprise out of Newark, NJ, and our product is Credit Restoration.  Underground financial uses the name of my business and address as well as my phone number in their description and meta tags. After checking “Underground”‘s Alexa Ranking, I see they are doing OK. My question is,  should other websites cram any and everything in their “META TAG and Description” in order to try and fool the Spider-BOT’s? You would think that the folks at Underground would want to be branded. Offering a branding solution is what SEO’s are supposed to be all about. If this is an SEO’zer’s idea of helping a company get and maintain a presence on the WWW, then I truly hope the companies that are hiring them are keeping their receipts.

I have spent time branding the very product(s) to the name of my company because the name of my company doesn’t have anything in it that references a product.  Now to have a company just place unrelated information in their description in order to “fool” the software is wrong. Fortunately I had some very good teachers who taught me the proper way to enter web page content.

The below meta tag information is from Underground and contrary to the video, the Webmaster has decided to put other businesses information in their description as a means of getting favorable position for it’s site and or inadvertent traffic to their website(s).

My industry is Credit Restoration and Merchant Account setups.  When I or someone else is looking for credit restoration/repair and uses “Credit”, Services, Restoration and or other like search terms seeking those very services for and from  a company in their area, – SeaySon Enterprise comes up pretty high in the search.  Mind you that after reviewing Undergrounds site to see what would be their search term criteria;  I came up with “Debt”, Settlement, Relief and other terms concerning “Debt Consolidation. I put that information plus the city the company resides in as well into the search bar and they do not come up at all in the query under those terms.  Yet the Underground has a higher ranking on the Alexa – The Web Information People.  It would seem that with practices like this, it’s no wonder all of their traffic is generated from the google search engine alone and from no other place.

My husband and I filed bankruptcy 7 years ago. It wasn’t over credit cards, it was over car loans and a huge loan that we used our land as collateral. Since then we have both gone to college to get a degree so that we would make enough money. Now that the job market is in a slump, having a college education doesn’t seem worth it.

The layout for your website is a bit off in K-Melon. Yet I like your blog. I may have to install a “normal” browser just to enjoy it. 🙂

Good insights. People need to make sure they dont get ripped off by different debt settlement and negotiation companies. I found http://howigotmyselfoutofdebt.org they cover different companies and methods. Knowledge is power. I like that site because they don’t try to sell or promote anything.
