A New School Year “A Question of School Choice”

In our city, of the 205 public schools, 20% of the them have been classified as the “lowest performing public schools”. We have schools that are now being labeled as “Chronically” failing.

My question to our educators in the public school system is:  do you feel that what you have to offer your students is sometimes “not” enough? Do you ever feel that if only they could listen to someone that you have had the fortunate “coincidence” to hear and see?

Could exposing students to influential and responsible people that are in and around their or even your neighborhood become part of your “Lesson Plan?

In a short while, a new political party will take over the majority seats in Congress and they will further hinder the present administrations attempts to combat the ills of our society.

What suggestions have been offered?  What suggestions do you have?
